Ashura Day (10 Muharram)
Ashura is a holy day for Muslims all over the world, celebrated on the 10th day of Muharram, according to the Islamic calendar. This year, Ashura falls on August 18 or 19, 2021. Ashura is the day Moses fasted to show his gratitude for the freedom of the Israelites. Muslim sects spend the day fasting and meditating.
The Masjid Community holds Iftar for the members who fast on this day.
